DESCRIPTION:

**1.5–2.5 Hour Expedition** *(duration varies based on wildlife activity, weather conditions, and guest interests)*

Join experienced marine guide Michael O’Brien and ornithologist Dr. Taylor Brown for an intimate Zodiac expedition through the wildlife-rich waters of Newfoundland’s coast.

While humpback whales and Atlantic puffins often steal the show, our expeditions are about much more than a few iconic species. We take a whole-ecosystem approach, helping guests understand the fascinating relationships between the animals, plants, and ocean processes that make Newfoundland's coastal waters so extraordinary. Depending on the season and conditions, you may also encounter minke and fin whales, dolphins, seabirds, seals, ocean sunfish, bluefin tuna, jellyfish, Atlantic cod, and even icebergs.

More than a sightseeing tour, this is an immersive wildlife experience that combines adventure, science, and local knowledge. Along the way, we'll share insights into the region’s ecosystems, wildlife behaviour, conservation efforts, and ongoing scientific research. Guests interested in experiencing a local tradition may also have the opportunity to try cod jigging.

We'll also explore the stunning coastline, featuring rugged cliffs, sea stacks, and, when conditions allow, The Spout—a remarkable natural wave-powered geyser.

Private charters are available and can be customized for photographers, birders, families, or groups seeking a more personalized adventure. No two expeditions are ever the same, making every outing a unique Newfoundland experience.
